    If you are eligible to attend the Malaysia ceremony, you will be sent an email inviting you to the ceremony.

    To secure your place at the ceremony, you must either pay a refundable deposit or purchase guest tickets by 5 September 2020.

    The information below is to help you with planning your graduation. 

  • How do I register for my ceremony?

    Invitations to register will be sent out from July.

    Cancelling your registration

    • If you are unable to attend your ceremony for any reason, then please let us know as soon as possible so that we can allocate your place to another graduate.
    • You can cancel by emailing us at accagraduation@brookes.ac.uk.
    • If you cancel by 14 September 2020, we can refund your guest tickets, deposits and gown hire.

    I am not bringing guests

    If you are not bringing guests, you will need to pay a deposit of £45. This deposit will be refunded to the card used to pay on the Online Shop within 10 working days of the graduation ceremony, provided that you have attended. If you do not attend the ceremony, we will not be able to refund you.

    I am bringing guests

    If you are bringing guests to the ceremony, you don’t have to pay a deposit.  

    Ticket sales will open in August 2020.

    How do I purchase my deposit/tickets?

    You will need to purchase your deposit/guest tickets via the Oxford Brookes Online Shop. If this is your first transaction through the Online Shop, you will have to register as a new user. Tickets will be available for collection on the day of your ceremony.

    When can I purchase my deposit/tickets?

    Ticket sales will be open until September 2020.

    How much do tickets cost?

    The ticket cost will be £42.50 per guest (adults and children over 5 years old). Late payments will be priced at £45.

    How do I hire a gown?

    Gown hire is supplied by Ede & Ravenscroft (M) Sdn Bhd. It is optional but if you wish to hire a gown, please either: 

    What is the dress code?

    Whether you are wearing a gown or not wearing a gown, the dress code remains the same for you and your guests. We ask that you dress smartly or you can wear traditional/religious clothing. We politely request no jeans, t-shirts, shorts or trainers.

    Ede & Ravenscroft (M) Sdn Bhd will be available to take official photographs on the day.


    If you require a visa to travel to Malaysia, you can request a visa support letter from us after you have paid your deposit or purchased your guest tickets. Please email us with the name(s) and nationality of your guests once you have made your purchase.

    Please note that it is your responsibility to check that you have made all the necessary arrangements for entry to Malaysia. We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. 

    Certificates are not issued at the ceremony; they are sent to you by post within 3 months of your award date. Please email certificates@brookes.ac.uk if you have not received your certificate within this timescale.
    If you have any special requirements, for example wheelchair access or seating near an exit, please email us at accagraduation@brookes.ac.uk.
    Professional photographers and videographers will be at the ceremony and the reception. If you or your guests do not wish to be photographed, please let them know on the day.
