Graduation registration

  • How to register for your graduation.

    • You will need to register for your graduation ceremony if you would like to attend. 
    • You can register from: 

    August-September Ceremonies: 2 July - 16 August
    • Your registration is free of charge. Once you have registered, you can book your guest tickets
    • Please register and book your guest tickets as early as possible to be guaranteed a place in your scheduled ceremony. 


    How do I register for my ceremony?

    Once registration is open, you need to go to the 'My Graduation Planner' tab on PIP and follow the instructions.

    Other useful information

  • If you are unable to attend your scheduled ceremony, you can request to attend an alternative ceremony. We will accommodate students if space is available, but there is no guarantee that this will be possible. Please complete this form and we will be in touch about an outcome.

    The registration process is slightly different for Research Students.

    If you would like to register for a ceremony, please contact the Research Degrees Team for full details. 

    If you are unable to attend your ceremony for any reason, please cancel your place as someone else will be able to use it. You can cancel: 

    If you cancel during the registration period, we can refund your guest tickets.

    Please make sure you get in touch with the University's photographers and/or gown suppliers if you have booked anything in advance. 

    August-September ceremonies:

    • All students must be awarded by 31 July 2018.

    If you aren't awarded in time or haven’t met the requirements for your award, you won't be able to attend the ceremony you are registered for. We will let you know if this is the case and invite you to the next appropriate ceremony date. Any tickets purchased will be carried over. 

    Please let us know if you or any of your guests have any access or disability requirements. Please go to the 'My Graduation Planner' tab on your PIP before registration closes.

    Please note: the ceremony will be in the Sir Kenneth Wheare Hall, in the Clerici building and the majority of guest seating is tiered.

    If you have any outstanding tuition debts to the University, you will not be eligible to attend your graduation ceremony.  

    If you are concerned about any debts that you may have to the University, you should contact either the relevant department or the Brookes Union Advice Service.
