Travel and parking

  • Information on travel and parking.

    • There is no parking available on campus (except for blue badge holders).
    • If any of your party have a blue badge, please come to the car park on Gipsy Lane and display the blue badge in your car.
    • There is also very limited parking in the Headington area.
    • We would highly recommend using the reliable and frequent public transport services to get to the Headington campus
  • Park and Ride services

Oxford has five Park and Ride sites, each with fast and frequent bus services to the University and city centre. Thornhill (bus service 400) is the closest Park and Ride site to the Headington campus.

    • Buses depart around every 10 - 15 minutes.
    • The car parking facilities at each of the sites are also equipped with CCTV and on-site security personnel.
    • All Park and Ride buses are low floor easy access vehicles with spaces for wheelchairs.
    • Bus services can get very busy and traffic can be slow during peak hours. Please allow yourself extra time to ensure you arrive in time for your ceremony.

We would highly recommend using the Park and Ride services as parking in Headington and Oxford is extremely limited.
