BRP collection

If you applied for a Student visa and your course is longer than 6 months, in most cases you will receive a BRP card (Biometric Resident Permit), which is your visa. Some students will receive a digital visa status or share code instead of a BRP card.

New students starting in September 2023: Right to Study Checks and your BRP

If you are not a UK national, you must complete the Right to Study Checks to be fully enrolled on your course. Please refer to the information on the Right to Study Checks webpage. Students who are collecting their BRP from the University will need to bring their passport and visa decision letter. Students who are collecting their BRP from the Post Office should collect their BRP first and then bring it with their passport. If you are collecting BRPs for your dependants, please bring your passport, your dependants’ passport and their letters from the UKVI confirming their visa.

Continuing students and your BRP

If your visa decision letter/email from the UKVI tells you your BRP will be delivered to Oxford Brookes University, please email isct@brookes.ac.uk to arrange a time to collect it. When collecting your BRP from the University, you will need to bring your passport, and visa decision letter if you applied outside of the UK. If you are collecting BRPs for your dependants, please bring your passport, your dependants’ passport and their letters from the UKVI confirming their visa.

If you have applied for your visa inside the UK and are collecting your BRP from the Post Office, or your BRP card was delivered to your home address, please email a copy of the front and back of your BRP card to isct@brookes.ac.uk.
