The UK Recruitment and Partnerships team are looking for enthusiastic students to join Oxford Brookes’ team of Student Ambassadors.
Our ambassadors serve as a front line force in representing the University and liaise with a range of external customers. Working within the Directorate of Marketing and Communications, you will play a central role in attracting prospective students to the University by acting as a positive role model.
You will contribute to the University’s activity to widen participation, by working with students from underrepresented backgrounds and supporting them to progress to higher education.
As a student ambassador, you will take a central role during the University’s five Open and Applicant days, you will deliver campus tours and take part in workshops and talks for schools and colleges.
We're looking for students with great communication skills, motivation and enthusiasm for Oxford Brookes. You don't need any specific experience, just an awareness of what Oxford Brookes can offer and a willingness to share your experiences. We will provide you with all the training necessary for this role and we pay our ambassadors £10.70 per hour.
Appointment of successful candidates will be conditional on a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check which is arranged and paid for by us. Please note that if you have lived or travelled abroad for more than three months you will also be required to complete an overseas check before you can start work as an ambassador. You will need to undertake a Right to Work check which necessitates having sight of your passport (and visa if a Tier 4 student).
You can apply for this role by visiting the student ambassador webpage.
To ensure your application is considered you need to apply by midnight on Friday 30 April 2021.
