Bike Doctor maintenance workshops and second hand bike sale
Transport Services has teamed up with the University’s Bike Doctor team to hold a number of bespoke bicycle workshops on the Headington Campus. Full details can be found on the travel webpage.
- Understanding the bike: 20 April, 12 noon - 2.00pm, general information and essential safety
- Stop that bike: 27 April, 12 noon - 2.00pm, an in-depth look at different types of braking systems
- Spin that bike: 4 May, 12 noon - 2.00pm, an overview of the main four different types of transmission

To help support access to sustainable travel, a range of second hand bicycles will be available to purchase, details of the current bikes on sale can be found on Walton Streets Cycles' Facebook page. Oxford Brookes students and staff can receive a 10% discount off the second hand bike by showing their University ID card to the Bike Doctor team.

The panel will give the audience an insight into sustainable food choices and share practical tips on how we can all make a positive difference by changing what we put on our plate.

Join the BRIT 21 challenge
Oxford Brookes will be taking part in the BRIT 2021 challenge, aiming to collectively walk, run, cycle or swim 2021 miles over the May Bank Holiday weekend (1-3 May). The BRIT 2021 Challenge encourages as many students, and staff, to take part and unite in support of young adult mental health.
