The Chaplaincy is a space for spiritual and pastoral care for the whole University. Our team works within Wellbeing to provide support to staff and students of all faiths and none.
The Chaplaincy is open to all members of the Oxford Brookes community, and visitors. The Chaplaincy team are appointed in partnership by the University and the local community. There are Christian and Jewish Chaplains appointed to the University, and we benefit from partnerships with the local Hindu and Buddhist communities. We are here to offer friendship and spiritual care to all members of the University - students and staff, UK and internationals, people from any faith tradition, or no faith at all.
Basically, we take an interest in you! Whether you're struggling, celebrating or just want to pass the time of day, the chaplains are available to listen and to talk. We can also offer help and advice, or talk about what faith means to you. As a team we aim to provide spiritual encouragement and pastoral care, and a wide range of opportunities for worship, prayer and meditation, discussion groups, music and film nights, social events, visits, pilgrimages and much more.
Whatever your reason for calling on us, you will find we are expert in the art of making tea and coffee and opening packets of biscuits! Drop in and see us, send an email or call 01865 484690.
