Coronavirus and Access to Prayer and Quiet Rooms

We are intending to open Prayer and Quiet Rooms on each campus. Capacity will be significantly reduced, and you will need to bring your own prayer mats, scriptures, etc. Please follow all the signs and information about keeping yourself and others safe.

    Harcourt Hill

The Westminster Chapel, on the Harcourt Hill Campus, is a quiet space open to all. There is a piano that can be booked for practice. The Chapel is also used for worship or commemoration service, for example at Remembrance, Christmas, Holocaust Memorial Day.
Adjacent to the Chapel, there is a room set aside for prayer, with washing facilities nearby.

The Multifaith Chaplaincy is part of the ground floor of the Buckley Building, adjacent to the other Wellbeing services. There are:

    • Two large rooms which are used for worship, discussion, social space, and prayer as needed.
    • Washing facilities.
    • A small Reflection Room for personal reflection, prayer, or small group meetings.
Please come along and make yourself at home.

The University Chaplain has an office in the Chaplaincy. Do drop by or email to arrange a time to meet.

The Multifaith Advisory Board approved room usage guidelines in June 2016. Please read their guidelines: Use of multifaith chaplaincy space in Headington (PDF).
