Craft in the afternoon – drop in on Wednesdays from 1.00pm in the Garden Room.
Crafternoon Tea is a space for students and staff to get together and share craft skills over a drink and a chat. You may come for the whole session, or drop in as you wish. You are welcome to bring your own work in progress, or to join us in a charity project.
We meet on Wednesdays between 1.00pm and 5.00pm in the Multifaith Chaplaincy Garden Room (BCK.G.20) on Headington Campus. All are welcome, and it's a drop-in so you can come as often as you like for as long as you like. A Chaplain is usually available from 1.00-3.00pm. Yarn, needles, crochet hooks and support from other crafters will be available.
There are loads of ways we can use our gifts for others, from a Prayer Shawl ministry to making quilts and household items to sell for charity, or gifting completed articles to local charitable groups. Charities in Oxford and across the world are interested in receiving everything from teddy bears to scarves, there is a project to suit your skills and interest. The charity projects we choose are quick and easy, suitable for even the most novice crafter.
You can see pictures of some of the projects we've worked on below.
