Accessibility

  • We want to make our services and information as accessible as we can. This page will give you some information about accessibility.

General information about the Oxford Brookes University campuses, directions for car and public transport users and maps can all be downloaded from the Contacts, maps and campuses pages.

Access for wheelchair users and others with mobility difficulties

Oxford Brookes University campuses are generally accessible to wheelchair users, and we are constantly working to improve accessibility. If you have mobility difficulties, you can request an individual tour which will highlight the most accessible routes for you.  If you have any questions about accessibility, please contact us.

    Parking

All sites have parking spaces for holders of a Blue Badge.

Accessibility for people with hearing impairments

Some key areas within the University are fitted with hearing loops. For those areas where a fixed loop is not present, a portable loop is available for loan to staff and students.

If you will be living in halls of residence and will not be able to hear fire alarms we can arrange for alerting equipment to be installed in your room. Please contact us about this.

Accessibility for people with visual impairments

In conjunction with the library, the Disability Service can provide a range of teaching and learning and other materials in alternative formats.
