    You told us you wanted our campus to be even more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

    We’ve introduced wooden cutlery and paper straws to reduce plastic waste across our campuses.

    You told us you wanted improved laundry facilities.

    We’ve upgraded laundry facilities across all halls including new cashless machines.

    You told us you wanted your contents insurance provided in halls to include bike cover.

    We’ve now included bike cover in your room insurance.

    You told us you wanted to avoid queuing when collecting your hall keys at the start of the year.

    We’ve introduced a new booking system so you can pre-arrange parking and our staff now carry tablets to check you in more smoothly.

    You told us you are concerned about safety when walking from our Headington Campus to Clive Booth Student Village.

    We’ve improved the lighting and put in signage, CCTV and a greater security presence along the recommended walkway to Clive Booth Student Village.

    IT Services

    You told us to improve the wifi.

    We’ve improved wifi coverage and access and we will continue to invest in the network.

    You wanted to borrow laptops for free.

    We’ve provided laptops, cameras and projectors that you can borrow for free - available from local IT Service Desks.

    You told us there were too many University websites.

    We’ve improved our website to make it easier to find student information and services.

    Food on campus

    You told us you wanted food options that represent better value for money.

    We’ve set up a new food counter in the Terrace restaurant at our Headington Campus, offering two different portion sizes depending on your appetite and budget.

    You told us you wanted more healthy eating options in our catering outlets.

    We’ve introduced a choice of vegan, vegetarian and other healthy meals at our Headington Campus: new ‘brain boxes’ at Clerici Café, a new salad bar in the Terrace and a variety of vegan and vegetarian options at Avo Café.

    You told us you wanted a greater variety of meals in our catering outlets.

    We’ve introduced more meal options at our Headington Campus: a daily hot counter in the Deli and in the Terrace, and upgraded a menu in Taylor’s Yard with daily seasonal specials.

    Sport services

    You told us you needed a more diverse range of fitness classes across our sites.

    We have introduced Les Mills Group Exercise classes and now offer nearly 80 fitness classes a week at our Harcourt Hill and Headington campuses.

    You told us to improve the external sports changing facilities at Harcourt Hill Campus.

    We’re investing in a total refurbishment of the sports facility, which is due for completion mid-January 2019.

    You told us you wanted more assistance and advice when you are using the Gym.

    We have introduced gym inductions led by sports science students and supported by qualified fitness professionals to ensure a greater gym floor presence across our sites.

    You told us to raise the profile of the full range of opportunities for students available at Brookes Sport.

    We have launched a Brookes Sport Ambassador programme to highlight these opportunities using social media feeds, blogs and vlogs.

    You told us to raise the profile of our performance sports programme within the University.

    We have improved social media coverage of our performance sports fixtures and are continuing to raise the profile of sport at Brookes.

    You told us you wanted better sports facilities to compete on.

    We have partnered with performance clubs, including Oxford City FC and Oxford Rugby Club, so you can access the best local facilities for competitions.
