  • Overview

    Warneford Hall is one of our smaller halls, conveniently located just 0.2 miles from Headington Campus and reserved for our continuing students. The hall provides self-catered shared bathroom accommodation for just over 249 students. Rooms are arranged into cluster flats of 3 - 6 bedrooms, sharing a kitchen/communal space.

    Warneford also offers some adapted rooms with private bathrooms, for students with disabilities and/or medical conditions.

    • Standard single study bedrooms: £135.03 per week for a 38 week contract
    • En suite adapted single study bedrooms: £143.01 per week for a 38 week contract

    What's included?

    The price includes all of your utility bills, wired internet connection, basic contents insurance and free travel on our BROOKESbus network. Wi-Fi is also provided across all Oxford Brookes sites.


    A £230 booking confirmation fee is required to secure your room once it has been offered to you. This will be credited against the first instalment of your hall payments.

    Rent can be paid in monthly instalments, or in three instalments designed to coincide with student loan payments. You will be able to select your rent payment plan when you accept your room online. More information can be found on the accommodation finance page.

    The hall is close to stops on the BROOKESbus route to the Marston Road site (U5), and Headington Campus is a few minutes walk. It is also a short walk from the U1 bus stop serving Wheatley and Harcourt Hill campuses and the city centre.

    The hall is a 15 minute walk from the popular Cowley Road with its many bars, clubs and restaurants.

    Your room

    Most rooms are 2.3 x 3.65 metres (there is some variation in size). They are furnished with a bed-base and mattress, mattress protector, desk and desk chair, reading lamp, wardrobe and curtains. There are also pinboards for posters and all bedrooms have a sink.

    Adapted rooms are generally larger and have en suite bathroom facilities.

    Your contract

    Warneford offers the standard 38 week contract to most students. Warneford F block offers 39 week contracts, designed for students in their final year who will be graduating in the summer.

    • 38 week contracts for the 2018/19 academic year run from Saturday 15 September 2018 to Friday 7 June 2019
    • 39 week contracts for the 2018/19 academic year run from Saturday 22 September 2018 to Friday 21 June 2019 

    Residents are admitted to the hall and may continue to reside only if they give and abide by an undertaking not to keep a car in Oxford whilst resident in the hall.

    The hall

    On-site facilities include a launderette. The Hall Office is available as a source of advice and information. Bed linen is not provided, but a bedding pack may be purchased online or at the hall when you arrive. Kitchen packs are also available online, as are plug adaptors.
