    Our Headington campus is well-located for the city’s Park & Rides and travel links to London, and is connected to Oxford train station by our U1 BROOKESbus service. 

    Wheatley Campus is seven miles south-east of Oxford city centre, and is serviced by the U1 BROOKESbus. There is parking available on campus, and it also conveniently located for Thornhill Park & Ride (see details below).

    Parking

    Headington Campus
    Visitor parking is available in our staff car park from 3.30pm until the Open Evening finishes.

    The main car park is situated on the Headington Hill site of Headington, from which it as a short walk to the John Henry Brookes Building. Please see our campus map for further information.

    Wheatley Campus
    Visitor parking is available in our staff car park from 2.30pm until the Open Evening finishes. The main car park is situated at the main entrance to the campus. It is a short walk to the Entrance Lodge, where you will sign in.

    Park & Ride

    Alternatively, you may wish to use Thornhill Park & Ride (OX3 8DP) for either campus, which is connected to both campuses by the U1 BROOKESbus.

    There will be a charge of £2 to park at Thornhill. You can avoid queueing on the day by paying for parking in advance at www.parkreg.co.uk.

    Disabled badge holders can pre-book a space on either campus by contacting uniopenday@brookes.ac.uk or 01865 484848 with your vehicle registration number and any details of your requirements. We will then be able to allocate a car parking space, and can make any other arrangements for you as necessary.

    Headington Campus

    From the south - take the M40, leave at junction 8 and follow the signs for Oxford along the A40. Then follow the signs for the city centre on the London Road.

    From the north - take the M40, leave at junction 8a and follow the signs for Oxford along the A40. Then follow the signs for the city centre on the London Road.

    If you are coming to Oxford via another route we recommend taking the ring road to the Headington Roundabout and following the signs to the city centre along the London Road.

    From all routes - continue along London Road, past the Headington shops. Go straight on at the traffic lights with the White Horse public house on the right and then at the next set of traffic lights turn left. Headington Campus is on the right. Headington Hill site is approximately a further 500 metres straight on from the Headington Campus junction on the right

    Wheatley Campus

    From the south - take the M40, leave at junction 8 (signposted Oxford A40). Take the A418, signposted to Thame and Aylesbury. Follow the signs to Wheatley and then follow the signs for "Brookes University, (Wheatley Campus)".

    From the north - take the M40, leave at Junction 8A and follow the signs for Oxford, then Wheatley and then follow the signs for "Brookes University, (Wheatley Campus)".

    From Oxford - follow signs to London (A40), exit the dual carriageway at the Wheatley sign. Then follow the signs for Wheatley and then "Brookes University, (Wheatley Campus)".

    By train

    There are direct train services to Oxford from London and many other UK towns and cities. Please only use Oxford railway station in the city centre, not Oxford Parkway as it is not serviced by our BROOKESbus.

    You can plan your journey with National Rail.

    You can get the U1 bus from outside the train station directly to Headington and Wheatley campuses.

    By coach

    From London there are two direct coach services, both running every 10-15 minutes during the day, dropping you off right outside our Headington Campus.

    Coach services from London take approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.

    For Wheatley Campus, you can then get the U1 bus from outside Headington Campus directly to Wheatley.

    Birmingham, Coventry, Leeds and Sheffield all have direct coach links to Gloucester Green coach station in the city centre. From other UK cities you will need to change. Find more information at National Express.

    To go directly to Headington and Wheatley campuses from Gloucester Green, it is a 5 minute walk to the city centre where you can catch a U1 BROOKESbus to both campuses. Catch the bus from New Road (stop D3). 

    Travelling from airports

    Heathrow and Gatwick airports have a direct coach link to Oxford. For more information visit the airline.

    Luton and Stansted airports also have coach links to Oxford. For more information visit National Express.

    Coach services will arrive at Gloucester Green coach station. For information about getting to each campus from the coach station, please see the 'By coach' section above.
