Deferred applications

You can apply for deferred entry to Oxford Brookes by including this information in your UCAS application. If you decide you want to defer your entry having already applied, see our information on changing your application.

If you’ve received an offer for a deferred place, there are a few things you need to remember:

  • If you hold a conditional offer, you need to meet the conditions of that offer in the same academic year that you submitted your application.
  • We will contact you at the email address you have provided in the spring of the year you will be starting university to confirm that you will be taking up your place at Oxford Brookes.
  • If your contact details change during the year before you start university, make sure you get in touch and inform the Admissions Office.
  • You will need to apply to live in University accommodation during the year before you start university. You will receive more information about this when we contact you about your place in spring - in the meantime, find out more about our accommodation options.

If you're not going to be able to access your email during the year before you start university, you might want to consider giving us permission to talk to a friend or family member about your application. We take data protection seriously and won't discuss your application with anyone else without your permission. If you do want another person to deal with us on your behalf, you need to email us (from the same email address as you used when you first applied) giving the details of the person you nominate, along with that person's email address.
