• January entry

  • Why start in January?

A January start can be particularly useful for students who need more time to complete their pre-university studies, obtain an English language test score, organise funding or arrange a visa.

    How do you apply?

Apply direct to the University using this form:

Important: this form may only be used for undergraduate January entry, part-time study, and some foundation courses. All other undergraduate applicants must apply through UCAS and incorrect applications will be returned. To apply for postgraduate courses, please follow the instructions here:

Fill out the form, including references, statement of purpose and, if applicable, proof of English language proficiency.

The closing date for a January start is normally mid-December of the preceding year.

    What happens next?

Once your application form is received it will be reviewed by the relevant Admissions Officer who will contact you either for further information or with a decision on your application.

    When will I start?

Enrolment is typically in the last week of January. Further details regarding this process will be emailed to you once your offer becomes unconditional.

    Where will I live?

Once you have accepted an offer from us we will email you details of how to apply for accommodation in one of our halls of residence (from mid December). In the meantime, the Accommodation Bureau can provide you with further details on your available options.
