  • Application process for taught postgraduate courses

Most taught master's degrees, postgraduate diplomas and certificates and professional courses should be applied for via UCAS Postgraduate. Please check the individual course information for specific application details.

    Direct entry to the University

For some courses, application is direct to the University. For those courses, there is a link on the course entry on the website which enables you to download the application form in PDF format. Applications completed in this way should be sent back to the University Admissions Office using the address supplied on the form.

While most postgraduate courses will continue to recruit throughout the year, some courses have application deadlines, so please check the details of the course you are interested in. Applications should be submitted as early as possible before the desired date of entry, even if you have not yet been awarded your first degree or other entry qualification.

Also note that some courses may fill earlier, resulting in the course being closed to applications. Please contact the academic department for further information.

    Postgraduate taught course offers

    Conditional offers

If your offer is conditional for a postgraduate taught course, you should send your results directly to the department running your course as soon as you have them. Please contact the department to see if the University has been able to confirm your offer of a place.
