Brookes Engage is an exciting programme of free activities and events designed to help you get into university. Besides having lots of fun and making some new friends, you'll gain a lot of skills which will really help to give you the leading edge when it comes to applying for university and for jobs.

In 2017-19 Brookes Engage is running the pathways in the following subject areas:
The programme involves attending monthly workshops that will
take place on campus at Oxford Brookes University. You will take part in academic workshops, plus general training workshops on topics that include: Choosing the
Right University for You, What Life as a Student is Really Like, Financing your
Studies and Becoming an Independent and Assertive Learner.
You will take part in one cultural trip each year and attend
a subject specific careers event.

Brookes Engage will run from November 2017 – July 2019. Dates will depend on the subject pathway chosen.
Sessions will take place once a month, generally on Wednesdays. In addition to the monthly sessions there may be occasional evening events and there is a residential summer school at the end of Year 12 in July.
Cohort A (Social Sciences, History and Law) and Cohort B (Healthcare, Mathematics, Art and Design, and Sport) will run on different dates.
The Brookes Engage programme will help you work out what it
is you want to do and what you need to do to get there. You will spend time in an academic
environment improving your confidence and your ability to learn, and you will
take part in a range of extra-curricular activities that will be beneficial for
both university and work applications.
You will also make friends and have fun!
As a Brookes Engage student, you will be eligible to apply for the Oxford Brookes Community Scholarship which awards students with a payment of £1,000 in their first year.
