Discover Brookes is a fully funded Year 12 access programme. It is open to young people from backgrounds under-represented in higher education who are studying in the first year of a Level 3 qualification (A Level, BTEC etc).
Students will get an insight into real University courses taught at Oxford Brookes University. They will take part in two workshops at their school, which are presented by Oxford Brookes staff. Those who participate in both workshops can apply for a free summer school at Oxford Brookes University. After the summer school, they will receive online mentoring by a current student who will support their application to and transition to university.
At the end of the programme, participants should feel confident in making the next step in their education career and to make an informed choice about the university course that is right for them.
The programme is completely free of charge to participants and the residential summer school is fully funded, including travel to and from the campus.
