Summer schools

  • Discover Brookes Summer schools are fully funded and include transport, a stay in halls of residence and academic teaching. They are a great way to get insight into a university course, show academic commitment and have some fun.

    How to apply:

    You have to fill in the below 'Students' application form. Your parent/guardian has to fill in the 'Parent/Guardian form. Please let us know if you need a paper copy of the forms.

    There are three different dates for the summer school depending on which of the 16 subjects on offer you would like to study: 

    10 - 12 July 2019

    • History
    • English Literature
    • Education studies 

    15 - 17 July 2019

    Business Summer School, students will study the following:

    • Business and Management
    • Events Management
    • International Hospitality Management
    • Marketing Management

    15 - 17 July 2019

    • Engineering
    • Built Environment
    • Creative Arts 
      Including: Music, Fine Art, Film and Digital Media Production

    24 - 26 July 2019

      • Children's Nursing
      • Midwifery
      • Paramedic Science
      • Physiotherapy
      • Sports and Exercise Science
      • Animal Biology


    Applications are assessed for their eligibility in line with our widening participation criteria and prioritised accordingly. There are still spaces for some of our subject pathways and so the deadline has been extended until these spaces fill up. If your application is accepted information about travel arrangements and a provisional itinerary will be sent to you.
