    An informative talk giving students the understanding of the importance of undertaking work placements and the opportunities available to them during their studies.
  • Who the event is for

    Students in year 12/First year of College with an interest in studying a Built Environment course including Urban Design, Planning and Real Estate.

    About the event

    Students will also take part in a variety of activities related to different areas of the industry, building up problem solving and team working skills. This talk highlights the importance of undertaking work placements and experiences within the industry.

    Aims include: 

    • To improve students’ attainment and motivation at level 3
    • To increase students’ confidence at school
    • To develop students’ understanding of what experiences students will gain from studying a Built Environment course
    • To develop students’ knowledge and awareness of the benefits of higher education
    • To raise the aspirations of students in the local community.
