    About the event

Our After School Clubs are currently offered as either a 5 or 8 week course, comprising of a variety of different subjects. We have linked together core subjects with some degree level courses. This includes, English to Drama, Maths to Engineering and Computing, Science to Psychology, Paramedic and ODP as well as Law and Media to Marketing. The 8 week course also provides additional areas such as mindfulness and employability skills.

    Our celebration event offers students the opportunity to;

    • visit Oxford Brookes University
    • network with other students
    • recognise their success
    • celebrate what they have achieved during the project.

    Aims include:

    • To improve students’ attainment in Science, Maths and English
    • To increase students’ confidence at school
    • To develop students’ knowledge and awareness of the links between core subjects and degree options
    • To develop an awareness of the importance of wellbeing
    • To raise the aspirations of students in the local community.

    Please see below for details

  • By coach

A coach will be arranged for your students to the campus.

Please arrange for the coach driver to drop you off at the B4 bus stop on the London Road (the lay-by which the Oxford Tube pulls into). This is a busy road so you should ensure your students alight from the coach as quickly as possible. On arrival you will be met by a student ambassador and taken to the main reception to register. At the end of the day please arrange for the coach driver to collect you from the same place, the B4 bus stop.

Please note – there is no parking available for coaches on the day so please arrange with your coach company to park elsewhere, for example at Thornhill park and ride.

    By minibus

If you are travelling with students in a minibus, we do have a limited number of parking spaces available. Please contact us as soon as possible if you will require this.

On arrival at the campus you will be met by a student ambassador and taken to the main reception to register.

Catering will be provided on the day.
