Dr Yiakoumetti's teaching responsibilities involve lecturing on topics such as language acquisition, bilingualism, linguistic human rights, globalisation and the dominant role of English, second-language pedagogies, critical discourse analysis, and quantitative research design. Dr Yiakoumetti supervises the research of doctoral students who investigate a diverse range of topics in multilingualism, language policy, nonstandard linguistic varieties, non-native Englishes, and indigenous mother tongues in education.
