Dr. Molly Cochran is Reader in International Relations and Academic Conduct Officer for the Department of Social Sciences.She has research and teaching interests in international relations theory, international political thought, American pragmatism, human rights, gender and IR, and democratic global governance.

She joined the Department in 2012 after previous positions at the University of Natal, Durban; University of Bristol; and the Georgia Institute of Technology. She held a Council on Foreign Relations Fellowship (2002-3) working at the London Office of Human Rights Watch to block US negotiation of bilateral immunity agreements in relation to the International Criminal Court. She is currently writing a book on the advocacy of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom at the League of Nations.
