Mr Ralph Saull

Ralph is an Architect, educator, and architectural photographer based in Oxfordshire. He is an Associate Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University (Yr1 Undergraduate Architecture) and a Fellow the the Higher Education Academy. Amongst various other teaching methods, Ralph runs time-based structured drawing workshops and offers his expertise in photography, lighting and printmaking as specialisms within architectural representation.

Splitting his time between teaching and practice, Ralph is also an Architect at West Waddy ADP, a multidisciplinary studio combing Architects, Urban Designers and Town Planners. His project experience ranges from large scale masterplans, to new build residential and extension and alteration works to listed buildings.

Professional photographic engagements are generally limited to Architectural and interior Photography, though his self-initiated studies focus on urban geometry and surface.

Areas of expertise

In architectural practice I am currently working on a number of jobs with challenging site constraints including; a new build residential project in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; extensions to a Grade II listed cottage in a conservation area; the restoration of a Medieval Barn; a new build dwelling in the Green Belt; and extension and alteration works to a mews house in Kensington conservation area.
