Prof. Chrisina Jayne has joined Oxford Brookes University as the Head of the School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics. Previously, Chrisina was the Head of the School of Computing Science and Digital Media at Robert Gordon University. Chrisina is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy.  She was awarded a UK National Teaching Fellowship award in 2009 in recognition of excellence in learning and teaching.

Chrisina's resent research relates to developing and applying novel methods for modal learning in artificial neural networks and deep neural networks. Chrisina has been serving as the chair of the International Neural Network Society (INNS) Special Interest Group (SIG) of Engineering Applications of Neural Networks (EANN) since 2009. She chaired the Engineering Applications of Neural Network Conference in 2012, 2014 and 2016. She also served as the program chair the 2017 International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN 2017).
