The role that buildings play for integrating biodiversity and food production in urban environments - this research area has focused on the users of buildings, and how they would engage with biodiversity and food production on and within the building fabric.
Other areas of reseach interest include energy efficient and ecological building design, ecological retrofitting of existing buildings, community focused housing design and Building Performance Evaluation.
