Before taking up a post at Oxford Brookes, Catharine had broad experience of teaching across the primary and secondary phases of education. After teaching modern foreign languages ( French and Spanish) in London and Coventry for several years, she retrained to work in the primary sector, where she became an Advanced Skills Teacher in the Early Years before working for Oxfordshire local authority as an Early Years Advisory teacher.
