Julie Cooke

Julie Cooke is a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, based at the Swindon campus. Julie completed her BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing at Oxford Brookes University. After registration, Julie worked at the Great Western Hospital. Nursing experience includes Cardiology, Endoscopy and GI nursing and more recently palliative care at the Prospect Hospice in Swindon. 

Julie's later studies include level 7 modules in mentoring, cardiology, palliative care, advanced research methods. She then completed her post-graduate certificate in teaching higher education (PCTHE) and thus completing her PGDip in Higher Professional Education before moving onto her current PhD programme. 

Julie contributes to the pre-registration Adult Nursing programme including BSc, MSc and has previously contributed to the nursing associate programme. Julie is currently the placement lead for the pre-registration adult nursing programme in Swindon.
