Peter Vass is an honorary research fellow specialising in the teaching of history. For 20 years he was Head of Humanities in the School of Education, Oxford Brookes University. He now acts as a consultant in matters relating to education, history and the humanities. For the past five years he has been involved in 1st World War commemoration projects in Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire working through Oxford Brookes and the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. He has given talks on his research at the Ashmolean and across these three counties. His principle research interests are the lesser known British war artists of World War 1 and World War 2. He is currently researching the artists who contributed to the Efforts and Ideals of the Great War lithograph print project of 1917, the most extensive art propaganda exercise in the 20th Century.
