Kathleen Greenway

Kathleen Greenway is a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, and she is based at the Marston Road campus. Kathleen completed her Registered General Nurse training at the Oxford School of Nursing and later completed a BSc in Nursing Studies  and Registered Nurse Tutor qualification at the University of Hull. After qualification, Kathleen had 6 years clinical experience in Gastrointestinal Surgery and two years in Geratology. She then spent two years working for Oxfordshire Mental Healthcare Trust as a tutor/facilitator, and during this time she completed her MA in Education at the Open University. In 2000, Kathleen joined Oxford Brookes University as a Senior Lecturer. Kathleen is a graduate of the EdD programme at Oxford Brookes University, where the title of her thesis was 'Do student nurses experience a theory-practice gap? A case study'.

Kathleen contributes to the pre-registration adult nursing programme (BSc and MSc) and to the DNurs programme. She is also the coordinator of the successful immersive nursing exchange programme between Oxford Brookes University and the University of Pennsylvania. She is also an external exmainer for Coventry University - Sri Lanka BSc programme.
