My research interests revolve around musculoskeletal healthcare and in particular the recovery from, and rehabilitation for musculoskeletal conditions. My main experience is in the methodology and conduct of large-scale, pragmatic clinical trials and evaluation of complex interventions but I also have particular interests in systematic reviewing, medical device innovation and implementation of healthcare research findings.

i) the development of a clinical prediction rule for sprained ankles (SPRAINED)[NIHR HTA, £820,997]
ii) the effectiveness of splinting for thumb-base osteoarthritis (OTTER)[Arthritis Research UK, £609,937]
