    Relationships, challenges and changing society

This competition leads up to the launch of the Oxford Brookes’ Think Human Festival that will be taking place in May 2018 to highlight the value of the humanities and social sciences in our rapidly changing modern world.

The competition is open to everyone.

There will be three categories within which entries can be submitted:

    Under 18

Entry is free and there is a first prize of £50 and a day’s work experience at Fisher Studios in Oxford for the winner of the under 18 category. The overall competition winner from all the categories (under 18s, over 18’s and Alumni) will receive a prize of £100.

    Over 18

Entry is free and there is a first prize of £50 for the winner of this category. The overall competition winner from all the categories (under 18s, over 18’s and Alumni) will receive a prize of £100.

    Brookes Alumni

Entry is free and there is a first prize of £50 for the winner of the Alumni category. The overall competition winner from all the categories (under 18s, over 18’s and Alumni) will receive a prize of £100.

All entries will be displayed on the Think Human Instagram account, where the name of the entrant will be displayed along with their category (Under 18 etc) and the theme they are addressing.

From each category there will be a shortlist of 12 entries and three runners up chosen by the judges who will then select one overall competition winner. In addition there will be one ‘people’s choice’ award for the image receiving the most likes on the Think Human Instagram Account. Prizes will be awarded to all the winners and runners up.

Shortlisted images will be showcased before and during the festival week at Brookes and other venues in Oxford and there will be an exhibition in the Glass Tank after the festival. It is planned that the exhibition will also be taken on tour to the community and local schools.
