Covid-19 update

  • From 1 June 2020, Oxford Bus Company increased service levels across all of its bus routes. From this date, a reduced vacation timetable was reinstated for the U1 and U5 services. 

    The reinstated services are being run by Oxford Bus Company as a public service; they will not operate as part of the BROOKESbus service.

    The University will be subsidising student BROOKESKey inclusive travel holders on these services until 31 August; there will be no charge for students who show their inclusive travel BROOKESkey to the driver. Depending on student passenger numbers, charges may need to be reintroduced after this period. We will keep students updated.

    Students should be aware of the Government’s announcement that face coverings be mandatory on public transport from 15 June.

    Free travel via the Brookes Union Safe Taxi Service has now ended. The taxi service continues to operate, however students will be required to cover the cost of any journeys themselves (payable to Brookes Union within 14 days of the journey).
