Paul Potter, Healthy Ageing Network Steering Group member has been appointed as a British Society for Research on Ageing Trustee.

Paul Potter, a longstanding member of the Healthy Ageing and Care Network Steering Group, has been appointed as a Trustee for the British Society for Research on Ageing (BRSA). At his first meeting he took on the role of Honorary Treasurer.

BRSA promotes and funds research into the causes and effects of ageing. It brings scientists together, educates the public and translates research for key stakeholders.

The Board of Trustees are nominated by members and report on fundraising, scientific meetings, strategy, etc. The Board is composed of experts in healthy ageing from across the UK and BRSA members get immediate linkages to the biogerontology research community in the UK

Paul is a Reader in Biomedical Sciences at Oxford Brookes University and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology. His research focuses on the pathogenesis of chronic and age-related disease, and how to improve modelling of disease.
