Feedback:
An Agenda
for Change

Osney Grange Group

Feedback at a crossroads - where do we go from here?

Feedback is a crucial element of assessment. However there is substantial evidence that staff and students are dissatisfied with it, and there is growing impetus for change. Repeating the successful process used by ASKe in November 2007 to produce the Manifesto for Change, a group of 23 researchers and writers with specialist expertise in assessment feedback were brought together by FDTL and ASKe for two days in June 2009. To be known as the Osney Grange Group, they have produced a 5 point Agenda for Change, to be used to inform national and institutional assessment policy and feedback practices in the Higher Education sector.

• Meeting the NUS and QAA to develop ways to promote and implement the Agenda for Change.

• Jointly producing resources with and for students

• Working with educational developers on ways to support staff

• Creating a web ‘portal’ to disseminate new and existing resources.

If you are interested in getting involved in any of these activities or require an update on the current position, please let us know.
