Attachment Aware Schools - Research Conference 2024
Are you an education professional passionate about evidence that supports nurture, attachment and trauma informed practice?
This conference is a partnership between the Oxford Brookes University (OBU) Children and Young People Network, The Mulberry Bush Organisation (MBO), the Attachment Research Community (ARC) campaign and the Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties Association (SEBDA).
This Research Conference aims to disseminate the research findings from two projects led by the Mulberry Bush Outreach Team:
- The Mulberry Bush Nurturing Schools Project - Dr David Colley (Associate Lecturer, OBU), Laura Dennis (MBO) and Dr Nicoleta Gaciu (Senior Lecturer, OBU).
- The Beacon Project – Lucy Roberts (University of Sussex), Ray Burrows (MBO) and April Gold (Diocese of Coventry Education Board).
MBO helps traumatised children through the creation of therapeutic environments so that children can build healthy relationships and rebuild their lives.
In addition, Helen Tivoli (Rees Centre, University of Oxford) will present the findings from their research into 'Whole School' attachment and trauma awareness training on experiences and outcomes for vulnerable young people.
