Overview

We know that moving to a new country can be a challenge, and we believe that early preparation is an important factor in student success. In order to encourage our students to be well prepared for their new life in the UK, we are offering a £2,000 scholarship to support students who make their deposit payment by the following deadlines:

Eligibility

Eligibility criteria

In order to qualify for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Have an offer from the University to begin a degree programme in September 2026.
  2. Have made payment of a tuition fee deposit by the deadline that corresponds to your offer date (as outlined in the table above). Please read the terms of your offer carefully which will specify if a deposit is required. Please note that:
    1. This scholarship is only available to International students funding their studies through private financial arrangements (such as direct payment of tuition fees or loan arrangements with personal responsibility for repayment eg. US loan funding).
    2. You will need to provide evidence of any bank transfer payments by this deadline in order to ensure you qualify for the scholarship.
  3. Please read the terms of your offer carefully which will specify if a deposit is required.
  4. This scholarship is not available to students where the Home and Overseas fee are the same level.

Please check your offer letter for the deposit amount you need to pay. Your deposit needs to be received by cleared funds on or before the deadline that corresponds to your offer date (as outlined in the table above) and a receipt may be required for eligibility purposes.

Pay your deposit by the deadline to qualify for this scholarship. 

Please check your offer letter for the deposit amount you need to pay. Your deposit needs to be received by cleared funds on or before the deadline that corresponds to your offer date (as outlined in the table in the Overview section above) and a receipt may be required for eligibility purposes.

Terms and conditions of financial support

  1. This scholarship is available for new, full-time, international fee-paying students undertaking undergraduate degrees (including Integrated Foundation Courses, year one, credit entry and final-year entry courses) or full-time 1 or 2-year postgraduate degrees.
  2. Eligibility is limited to students commencing a degree in September 2026.
  3. Changes to the conditions of your offer or alterations to your selected course may impact your eligibility for the scholarship. Moreover, modifications to your nationality status or course of study can affect your scholarship eligibility.
  4. The scholarship does not apply to students under home fees.
  5. The scholarship does not apply to the following programmes:
    • Pre-sessional programmes in English Language
    • Pre-Master’s programmes (excluding the Pre-Master’s Diploma and Two Year Master's Programme included in the scheme)
    • Modular associate programmes or exchange programmes
    • Diploma courses
    • Certificate courses
  6. It is not applicable to students who are sponsored.
  7. The scholarship will be awarded as a discount applicable to the student’s second semester of tuition fees.
  8. This scholarship is not available to courses which do not require a deposit payment (such as distance learning courses).
  9. If you decide to defer your place at Oxford Brookes University, we cannot guarantee that the scholarships will be offered next year, as its eligibility is limited to students commencing a degree in September 2026.
  10. Students cannot claim this scholarship in conjunction with any other funding offered by Oxford Brookes within the same academic year. Where students receive multiple awards, the award with the highest value will be applied. 
  11. Students who wish to appeal if they have not been awarded the scholarship must do so within 12 weeks of the enrolment and induction week.
  12. If you hold a conditional offer with Oxford Brookes University and you are currently awaiting your results, any communications you receive about the scholarship do not validate that the conditions of your offer have been met.
