Application deadlines

The deadline to apply for our September 2024 intake is 1 September.

Entry requirements

We welcome students from all regions of the world and from a wide range of sectors and job functions. Our students come from technical or engineering backgrounds; they’re experienced project managers, local government or healthcare professionals, doctors and accountants working in the energy, IT, education and charity sectors. And it’s this diversity that enhances your MBA journey and provides you with an experienced MBA network to work with and learn from.

You will need:

  • a minimum of three years' relevant managerial or professional experience
  • a good degree (or GPA equivalent) or relevant postgraduate/post-experience qualification from a recognised institution, or a professional qualification from an approved and recognised body which is equivalent to a degree
  • two written references (normally one academic).
  • Alternatively, if you have considerable management experience you can apply for the MBA programme without a degree. We usually require seven years' relevant managerial or professional experience.

If you have any doubts about your eligibility to join The Oxford Brookes Global MBA programme, please email the MBA Team who will be happy to help and advise.

If you have any doubts about your eligibility for a place, please send your team an enquiry, the MSc International Business Management, which starts in January and September, is a good alternative.

English language requirements

To get the most out of your MBA experience a good level of English is important, so that you can contribute as fully as you'd like to the discussions and make the most of the incredible networking opportunities the MBA programme offers.

If your main language is not English, we may ask you to demonstrate that your level of English is good enough to study at MBA level.

If we ask you to take the British Council IELTS qualification the minimum level required is normally 6.5 and a minimum of 6.0 in reading and writing. We can advise you on other acceptable alternatives.

If you need to improve your English language, you can join our pre-sessional courses including a Summer Programme. Please ask us for advice.

GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test)

We welcome applications from candidates with a GMAT score. We do not routinely ask for GMAT scores, but we reserve the right to ask candidates to support their application with a GMAT.

Senior Leader Apprenticeship

An alternative route to gaining the Oxford Brookes Global MBA is through the Senior Leader Apprenticeship followed by an additional top-up programme to a full MBA qualification. Studying modules with the MBA cohort, Senior Leader Apprentices benefit from learning with the Oxford Brookes Global MBA community and there is a top-up route to achieve the full Oxford Brookes Global MBA (at additional cost). The cost of the Senior Leader Apprenticeship is fully funded by the Apprentice Levy.
