Motorsport Technology (BSc top-up)

Accredited at Brooklands by the Institution of Engineering and Technology on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer.

This is a one-year course, taught at Brooklands College, enabling a student from a foundation degree to obtain a BSc (Hons) in Motorsport Technology

The principal aim of this course is to provide an education in motorsport technology, producing graduates who have the necessary range of skills and depth of understanding to successfully pursue careers as Incorporated Engineers working in the industry.

A distinguishing feature of this course is its practical and applied motorsport emphasis, which it derives from industries local to the University and the expertise of the staff.  Graduates of the course should be able to work effectively in industry as part of design, development or research teams with the skills necessary to turn concepts into drawings and through to the manufacturing and assembly processes.

Tuition fees

Home/EU - full time off-campus fee: 2018/19: £7,200. 2019/20: £7,350.

Home/EU - part time off-campus fee: 2018/19: £3,675

International - full time off-campus fee: 2018/19: £8,800 2019/20: £9,000

Foundation Degree (Engineering) in Motorsport Engineering from Brooklands College.

Foundation Degrees from other Universities or Colleges will be admitted if their modules are equivalent.

Selection process

All students applying for this course will be interviewed by the Programme Lead at the College to see if their Foundation Degree is equivalent to the Foundation Degree at the College.
