Changing your application after applying direct

Second thoughts about your course?

It is not unusual for applicants to re-think their course choices. If you feel that the course you have applied for is no longer the right one for you, please complete our Course Change Request form. The Admissions Office is happy to consider a request, subject to availability. Any changes made will be updated via your UCAS Hub or Application Portal. If the change is not possible, the team will be in touch via email.

Updating your details

So that you don’t miss out on any important communications from us, please let us know if your contact details change. You can use the applicant portal to update your postal or email address.

Deferring your place

If you would prefer to start your course at a later date, you can submit a request to defer. If you are unable to do this please read the 'If you are unable to submit the form' section below. 

While we are not able to guarantee the option of a deferral, we will do our best to accommodate your request.

If you are unable to submit the form

If you are unable to submit this form, please email us at admissions@brookes.ac.uk. Please title your email ‘Deferral request’, provide a brief explanation of your reason for requesting a deferral and include the following details:

  • first name,
  • last name,
  • UCAS/Applicant ID,
  • name of course,
  • country of residence,
  • if you have an agent, please confirm their email address,
  • details of any English language test you took,
  • the award date of your English language certificate.
