100+ student-led societies are at the heart of Brookes Union – from hobbies and interests, to faith and culture and course-based groups. Our student-led networks also provide a space where students with marginalised identities can share experiences, create change through collective action and build a community.
Advice
The Union supports students with a free, confidential Advice Service, independent from the University. Its dedicated team of advisers can provide you with impartial advice and guidance, and can help you with university processes such as exceptional circumstances, appeals and complaints.
Representation
Our full-time officers are elected every year by students to lead the Students’ Union and work on your behalf to challenge the University on decisions they make that affect you. We support a community of student reps, who volunteer their time across the academic year to represent the views of students within their faculty, or on their course.
Events
Our weekly 0% Event series offers an inclusive and diverse range of on-campus activities for students looking for alternative ways to socialise and where drinking alcohol is not the focus. Our event partners The Ox Events also host weekly student club nights and the ultimate end of year festival – This is Oxford.
