This year Fairtrade Fortnight is from 27 February to 12 March 2023, but we are kicking it off early with a Fairtrade and Sustainable food fair on 22nd February.

Fairtrade Fortnight is an annual event to support farmers across the world and promote Fairtrade products.

We’ve partnered with local businesses, fellow students and our onsite catering team to bring you the best Sustainable Food and Fairtrade activities, education and offers.

Fairtrade and Sustainable Food Fair with Live Cook-Off
Wednesday 22nd February 2023
The Forum, Headington Campus
11am - 2pm 

Expect a delicious variety of Fairtrade food and drinks to try, Fairtrade handicrafts and interesting projects to learn about. There will be a live cook-off by local food groups and our own exec. chef showcasing how to transform leftovers into tasty nutritious meals.

Instagram Cooking Competition

Oxford Brookes University is proud to host a competition on the theme of reducing food waste, as part of the United Nations initiative Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME) UK and Ireland Chapter 10th anniversary celebrations. Students across the region are invited to submit competition video or photo entries, which PRME has kindly sponsored with £300 prize money across 3 winners!
