Creative Industries Festival: Research impact and relationship building in the Creative Industries
How can academic researchers in Creative Industries make meaningful societal contributions and generate impact beyond academia? This conversation focuses on strategies that look at impact as more about building relationships between research, industries and the public. In particular, participants will reflect on ways and challenges in developing sustainable relationships with community groups as research users - from the perspective of HE institutions, the researchers, practitioners and creatives. With Mariza Dima (Senior Lecturer and Impact Lead for Arts & Humanities, Brunel University), Isobel Ward (CI Hub Brunel University, Business Support Manager), Natalie Wall (Research Impact Lead Social Sciences, King's College), Helena Erikstrup (PhD student, University of Oxford), Rachel Barbaresi (Visual artist and Senior Lecturer, Oxford Brookes University), Junie James (ACKHI - African Caribbean Kultural Heritage Initiative), and María del Pilar Blanco (Associate Professor in Spanish American Literature, Trinity College, University of Oxford).
