Exploring the Hidden Curriculum: Meeting the students where they are
The Centre for Academic Development would like to invite all staff to a half-day Academic Literacies Symposium. This year we will focus on the unwritten rules and norms that students are often assumed to have an understanding of (QAA 2022), also known as the Hidden Curriculum.
In a series of interactive workshops and brief presentations we will encourage colleagues to explore the concept with reference to their own discipline and consider how collaborative and creative learning opportunities can be provided to students to help uncover what may not always be obvious.
This symposium is free to members of staff but we have limited spaces.
