Join Dr Lindsay Steenberg for a hands-on workshop exploring how stunt performers train for their jobs. From high falls to screen combat, the stunt performer works to make the action star look invincible. But, in order for us to believe in the skills of John Wick or Jason Bourne, the stunt performer must remain invisible and their hard work disappears into the blockbuster spectacle. This session pulls back on the curtain on stunt work, allowing participants to see what’s involved in training to be a stunt performer in the UK and offers them a chance to learn a few cinematic moves!

Lindsay Steenberg has been researching, interviewing, and training with stunt performers for the past year. She is currently writing a book on the history of stunts in the UK based on her research.
