The Migration and Refugees Network and Oxford Brookes students have contributed to a national collaborative Sanctuary art project led by the University of East Anglia. This project explores the role of places of education, including schools, colleges and universities, when searching for sanctuary, rebuilding life and finding home.

The project asked artists, students and academics to create posters which represent welcome and inclusion. An exhibition and film screening features the work of students from across the UK who share their lived experiences of education and searching for “home”.

The project will be exhibited at Oxford Brookes University, in the Glass Tank Exhibition space. Our launch event will be held in the GlassTank on the 10th of April, 12-1.30pm, featuring a screening of the film and short talks from the project organisers and participants. The event warmly welcomes all students, staff and members of the public.
