Campus life

  • It is an exciting time to join our Business School as we have recently moved to new premises at our Headington Campus.

A new home for the Business School

The university has invested £30m to provide a new home for the Business School, including a lecture theatre, teaching rooms, social learning space and a café. It also provides a new Main Hall and a vibrant gateway into the Headington Campus. The redevelopment will enhance opportunities for collaboration with departments across the university.

    What’s happening?

As a business student, you'll be among the first to benefit from the university's 10-year estates investment plan which will include first-class learning spaces close to university facilities, student halls and the city centre.

Headington Campus is also home to our award-winning John Henry Brookes Building, which extends over six floors, providing a stimulating space in which you can study and research. There are a wide range of facilities across these floors including a library, teaching rooms and lecture theatres of various sizes. There is also a social area to meet your fellow students for coffee, work and a catch-up. It is open round-the-clock during revision times with a help zone, roving advisors and assisted learning facilities. There is a purpose-built Students' Union and the support and health services are brought together in a convenient one-stop shop - Student Central.

Our dedicated Careers Centre is based in the John Henry Brookes Building, providing support and guidance when researching and applying for graduate positions. They help with compiling your CV, offer interview practice and mock assessments, and give careers counselling. As a graduate you are able to use this facility for up to three years after graduation. The Careers Centre and Students' Union can also help you find part-time and vacation work.

We have an excellent sports centre at Headington, offering something for everyone, whether you want to use the fitness suite or heavy weights room, or join one of the many university sports teams. Facilities include badminton courts, squash courts, basketball courts, football, hockey and rugby pitches and a climbing walls.
