United States

We are one of the UK's leading modern universities, and with our innovative teaching methods and the support we offer our students you will achieve results that are internationally respected and a degree that will open doors in the global employment market.

Our American students enjoy a wide range of subjects at the University, including Primate Conservation, Publishing, English Studies, Motorsport Engineering and History. We also have several American students come to study a foundation or pre-master's course as preparation for a degree course.

Study Abroad

We welcome American students who wish to come for one or two semesters on our Study Abroad programme.

Hear from our students

Below are some video interviews with some of our students London and Bradley from the USA. Watch to find out more about what it is like studying in the UK.

Check out our student interviews with Aston, Shiela, Aiysha and Nickolas to find out more about the teaching style at Oxford Brookes, life in Oxford and our university facilities.

Aston Pollington - USA

The facilities are new, the campus is beautiful, the location is ideal and I think that anyone that wants to have a UK experience without stepping too far away from being international, it’s a great school to come to.

Aston Pollington - USA, International Foundation Course followed by Bsc (Hons) Law
Shiela Ramsey - USA

I feel like everything we do has a practical application. We’ve been able to go to different consulting firms, see potential jobs and talk to people who are working in our field.

Shiela Ramsey - USA, MSc Environmental Assessment and Management
Aiysha Whitfield - USA

A cool thing about Oxford Brookes University is that it has the GPA system. This is a bonus because the qualifications I obtain are recognised in the United States, which is something you should think about when considering a UK degree.

Aiysha Whitfield - USA, International Foundation followed by BA (Hons) Film Studies, and Communication, Media and Culture
Nickolas Sigler - USA

I really like the mix of practical and studying, such as working in the restaurants and getting that experience. And I like the community as well, because we hospitality students, we’re all very close.

Nickolas Sigler - USA, international foundation followed by BSc (Hons) Hospitality Management
