Explore Marston Road Site

The best way to find out if Oxford Brookes is the right place for you is to explore our campuses and chat to our staff and students. The tour at our Marston Road site has been specially designed to provide you with a great way to discover the facilities that will be available to you as a student here. Explore our clinical skills suites, social spaces and more.

Our tours are led by a Student Ambassador and last approximately 45 mins each. Our Student Ambassador will share insights to their own experiences at Brookes, and of course, will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Booking is essential so please follow the link above to reserve your place.

For the latest information on parents/carers, parking, health and safety, and more, please visit our Campus Tours page.

Parking

PLEASE NOTE: Disabled badge holders must pre-book a space on campus by contacting uniopenday@brookes.ac.uk with your vehicle registration number and any details of your requirements. We will then be able to allocate a car parking space, and can make any other arrangements for you as necessary.

We strongly advise you not to travel by car unless absolutely necessary, as parking is very restricted in the city and on our campuses. If you wish to come by car, we recommend using the the following Park & Ride:

The bus stop is situated inside the Park and Ride complex. Once you’ve parked your car, simply hop on our *FREE BROOKESbus service which will take you straight to campus.

The Thornhill Park & Ride is serviced by the 400 BROOKESbusU1, which connects the Park & Rides with our Gipsy Lane and Headington Hill sites (Headington Campus), the city centre and Harcourt Hill and Wheatley Campuses. The 400 BROOKESbusU1 runs from 7.45am throughout the day and into the evening. If you are visiting the Marston Road site, you can get the U1B BROOKESbus service directly there from Thornhill Park & Ride (via Headington campus). The U1B runs from 8.00am, with the last return service to Thornhill departing Marston Road at 4.20pm.

*Free travel is only valid on the 400 BROOKESbusU1, U1B and 100 BROOKESbusU5 services during our Open Day events. Standard bus fares apply when attending all other Oxford Brookes events.

  • From the north - take the M40, leave at junction 8a and follow the signs for Oxford along the A40. Then follow the signs for Marston.

Train

There are direct train services to Oxford from London and many other UK towns and cities. Please only use Oxford railway station in the city centre, not Oxford Parkway as it is not serviced by our free BROOKESbus.

You can get the 400 BROOKESbusU1 bus from just outside the train station in Frideswide Square directly to Headington Campus, as well as into the city centre and to Harcourt Hill and Wheatley campuses. For buses in the direction of Headington and Wheatley, you will need to go to stop R7 Frideswide Square.

Coach

There is a direct motorway coach service from London, running as often as every 10-15 minutes most of the day, every 20-30 minutes late evenings and hourly right through the night. Travel time 70-110 minutes depending on traffic. Pay the driver - you don't have to book ahead.

These coaches drop you off right outside Oxford Brookes Headington Campus as well as in Oxford city centre. You will then need to follow directions to the Marston Road site. For more information please visit:

Coaches from the airport and London stop near Oxford Brookes Headington campus on Headington Road. You will then need to follow directions to the Marston Road site. If you have lots of luggage with you and need a taxi to your accommodation, stay on the coach until the last stop, which is Gloucester Green coach station in the centre of Oxford. It is much easier to find a taxi from there.

Direct coach services to Oxford also run from:

  • Birmingham
  • Coventry
  • Leeds
  • London
  • Sheffield
