Role
Aileen joined Oxford Brookes Law School in 2026 as a Lecturer in Law, teaching on the Foundation Year and LLB programs. Before she joined Brookes, she previously taught as a Tutor at Durham Law School and as a Teaching and Academic Assistant at Queen's University in Canada, where she was the Robert Sutherland Fellow in Law and a Graduate Inclusivity Fellow. Aileen's work as an educator is driven by a strong commitment to advancing inclusion and accessibility within legal higher education.

Research
Aileen’s research interests are in health law, medical ethics, and critical legal theory. In particular, she is passionate about exploring how current and future health policies affect racialized and ethnic minority communities.
